Eyyy, sexy Gundam Wing Fans group!

Gundam AGE, the most recent installment in our beloved Gundam franchise, has now ended. This news is pretty much more than a month old and I'm just getting around to it now because I've been more concerned with reblogging G Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam crap on tumblr. As per usual, I, your lovely chatty admin, am here to bring you some Gundam news, which might be a bit dated but might be news to some.

I also want to hear other Gundam fans sound off, so here we go.
Lunah loves it when you guys are chatty btw.

This update is specifically about Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, a manga written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. This manga is an adaptation of the original series, Mobile Suit Gundam. It has the same basic storyline with few details changes.

Up until the middle of this year, this manga had only seen a release in Japan, but it was licensed in July by Vertical, Inc for an English release. The volumes will be released in hardcover and the first volume is slated for Spring 2013. The volumes will be released as something similar to the Aizouban style in Japan.

This is exciting as any Gundam releases outside of Japan appeared to be halted as Bandai shut down is licensing department. It appears the future of Gundam and its English adaptations is not as bleak as initially thought.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is also receiving an anime release. This will hopefully bring the original Gundam series to new audiences, particularly to those Gundam fans turned off by the old animation style of Mobile Suit Gundam. The re-boot is also bound to bring in fans of the original series, particularly as the story remains mostly unchanged.

As a Gundam fan, I'm excited, as I hope others will be.

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Now go out there and change the world. Hope everyone had a wonderful, fun, and (moderately) safe Halloween!

Pre-order your Origin copies now. It will help the odds of it getting more copies printed and may be your only chance to pick it up at a decent price before places start jacking it up.
Also take a listen to this: [link] It's a Gundamn podcast episode with Vertical's Ed Chavez about their release of Origin.
